Because…why not? With those 50 mph winds going outside, let’s look forward to what will surely be more conventionally friendly weather. Warm your heart in February with a Valentine’s program (details coming soon), and when spring really kicks in, it’ll be time to prep for summer reading. I am crossing my fingers that we will be able to have some awesome special guests to help kick off our summer reading season. Meanwhile, come pick up the latest Sara Paretsky or Preston & Child thrillers. And stay warm.
Now there’s a “sign of the times” blog post title.
Congratulations to Baby Abigail, who, during her visit to the library yesterday, played peekaboo for the very first time (she has watched others play, but never covered her eyes and joined in the fun). Hurray! She also clapped. It’s very exciting! Get ready for hours of “Where’s Abigail? Where’s that baby! Where’d she go? Peekaboo! There she is!” It never gets old.
The library may be closed due to weather on Thursday evening. Closings (today and future) will be announced via Facebook. Travel safely! Read happily!
Now that the craziness of the holiday season is over and winter is finally here, come in and grab a book to curl up with. We added tons of new music last month too, and have started a tiny ongoing book sale section. This month: Lunar new year begins (we’ll have a crafting activity on Jan. 24).
