What’s Happening at Your Library!!
We are open!! Our doors are open for the community to take out books, movies, and puzzles, our computers and use high speed internet, and/or borrow a conference room-great for studying or small groups to meet. ALSO, don’t forget we have the Maine Discovery Museum Pass for your family to enjoy at the museum!
Monday 9-5 Tuesday 3-5 Wed 9-5 Thursday 3-7 Friday 9-5
Students in the Library: We do encourage all ages to visit the library. Parents are responsible for ensuring the safety and appropriate behavior of their children while in the library. Students in 5th grade and up are able to be in the library without parent supervision but the library assumes no responsibility for unattended children, either during library hours or after closing. If a child is not picked up by closing time, and parents cannot be reached, library staff will contact the local sheriff to come and assist the child. (Library Behavior Policy adopted by the library committee)

Volunteers: Do you have an hour a week and feel like giving back to your community? The library is always looking for volunteers. You do not have to commit to a weekly schedule or commitment or to run an afterschool group. We work with the strengths you can bring to the library and the dedication to your community. Please contact Kelly Bay at 207-825-4938 if you are interested or stop into the library.
Wishing/Kindness Tree: We have begun taking requests for our Christmas giving tree. Last year we were able to give back to our Orrington families with your generosity. We will have a tree filled with the Christmas wishes of Orrington families. If you are a family who needs help this holiday season PLEASE CONTACT KELLY by November 18th to fill out a very simple form. These forms are very confidential and the library respects the privacy of the families filling them out. We just want to be sure all the families in our communities have a joyous Holiday season!!
